A new clean alternative fuel for diesel engines has been
developed that promises to markedly reduce dependence on
petroleum, significantly reduce vehicle emissions and lower green
house gas emissions. This new fuel is called dimethyl ether (DME).
DME can be economically produced from abundant sources:
stranded natural gas; coal and biomass.
We have developed a common rail fuel injection system for DME
that is reliable, low cost and can be retrofitted to most modern
diesel engines, both heavy-duty truck and passenger cars.
We can supply complete prototype DME fuel systems for HD
trucks and passenger cars that currently are equipped with direct
injection diesel engines. These systems can be used for
dynamometer and fleet tests.
Our systems can include the fuel injection system, the fuel storage
tanks and the low pressure fuel transfer pump.
We can also supply complete fuel systems for single cylinder
research engines.
